About

Date & Age Calculator

Three tabs over one calendar: the days between two dates, with working days counted against your own weekend and holidays; a date a span away; and an age in years, months, days and everything else. Every date here is a date on a calendar, not a moment in time, so no answer moves by a day because of where you are or because a clock went forward.

What it does

  • Between: the plain number of days, the same gap as years, months and days, and the working days, the last day counted or not.
  • A weekend of whichever days you say (Friday and Saturday across much of the Middle East) and the holidays you paste in.
  • Years, months, weeks and days added to a date or taken from it, or a number of working days.
  • The month-end rule as a choice, the other answer in sight: 31 January plus one month is 28 February or 3 March.
  • Age in years, months and days, with totals in months, weeks, days, hours and minutes, and the weekday you were born.
  • The next birthday and how far off it is, and the next thousandth day.
  • A 29 February birthday kept on 28 February or 1 March, as a choice, since countries differ.
  • ISO 8601 week numbers.

How to use it

  1. Pick Between, Add or subtract, or Age.
  2. Enter the dates; Today sets one in a click.
  3. Set the weekend and paste the holidays if working days matter.
  4. Read the answer and copy it.

What it does not do

  • Built-in holidays: a tool that does not know where you are cannot know your holidays, and a wrong list is worse than none.
  • A countdown that ticks: that is a timer’s job.

Questions

How are working days counted?

They are the days in neither your weekend nor your list of holidays. The count is arithmetic over whole weeks, so a span of years is instant.

Why do two sites give different ages?

Their month-end and 29 February rules differ. This tool shows both readings, lets you pick, and says which it is using.

Does my time zone matter?

No. Nothing here is converted to a zone; a date is a date. Questions about clocks and cities are for the Time Zone Converter.

Is 2100 a leap year?

No. A year divisible by 100 is not one unless it is also divisible by 400. The calendar here is the Gregorian one carried backwards and forwards, so the answer holds for any year.

Everything here runs in your browser. Nothing you type, paste or open is uploaded, and there is no account and no queue. How that works.

For one job

  • Timer & Stopwatch: Several timers at once, typed as 5, 1:30 or until 17:30, that keep ringing after the window closes; and a stopwatch with laps to copy.
